The program has been a huge success because it has helped to expand and nourish positively their global vision of the world. This exchange helped each participants understand that people around the world, are more connected culturally and socially. In addition, the value of the exchange between our young people and their families was an experience of a lifetime. The mixing of cultures and backgrounds provided all of the young people with an unforgettable awareness of and lifelong appreciation for each other.
Expanding Your Children’s Humanity
Every person on the trip benefited from a new understanding and blossoming friendships. There is no better way to learn about another country, its customs and their way of life of its people than by experiencing it firsthand. Experiences and skills they could never have learn by staying home: Maturity, Self Confidence, Self Awareness and they learn to become a global citizen, while learning the value of giving to others who needs a helping hand.
It’s also a humanitarian organization with a unique emphasis on youth programs to promote international awareness, develop leadership skills and create exciting opportunities for youth to travel abroad. In our program, youth learn about the culture and customs of people from the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. Our youth ambassadors promote and participate in humanitarian projects individually or together as a group to host social and/or community events, which count toward volunteer hours, plan fundraisers, serve as Youth Ambassadors for international delegations and share experiences of youth exchanges.
These ambassadors serve some of the poorest communities in the Dominican Republic and Haiti distributing collected donations (food, medicine, clothing, school supplies and sporting goods) to orphanages, public schools, hospitals, and grassroots community organizations in Villa Gonzalez, Monte Cristi, Dajabon, Haina, Santo Domingo, Aris Boca Chica, Cape Haitian, Quanaminthe Haiti, to name a few.
