Building Sustainable Borders is a foundation that endeavors to create a sustainable environment through donations and service programs to children residing on  the islands of Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Haiti.

As we work with grassroots organizations, clinics, orphanages and schools serving the indigenous people of the island, we realize there’s an intrinsic value to meet; and the broadening of our outreach for resources and services can assist in helping many.

Therefore, our goal is to develop and establish a centralized clearinghouse to collect and disseminate information and data.  This will propel the support efforts (planning and coordination) of organizations that can bridge the gap of insufficiencies to the region.  The clearinghouse will be able to provide a means for those interested in giving (donations, services and/or time) to the specific needs outlined by recipients (supplies, volunteerism, internships, etc) by connecting this network and streamlining the process.

The Building Sustainable Border’s mission to engage youth in humanitarian service learning projects abroad as they participate in cultural exchange and sports is a catalyst that broadens the advantages of our collaborations with a consortium of groups.   While we continue to provide programs and services, we also manage the clearinghouse and incorporate many aspects we could not effectively cover alone without the support of these outside parties.

This coalition helps supports regional planning projects to help people on island  to develop programs which attract outside support, improve lives and empower growth and leadership skills among our youth and within the communities they serve.  We know this experience will improve lives and promote humanitarianism for years to come.
